Recital Rehearsal...plus the Rehearsal for the Rehearsal!

Its that season again...dance recital time is upon us! Tomorrow is Maddie's dress rehearsal so we practiced tonight. I like to make sure she can get in and out of things ok on her own. We also have to set up a small laundry basket containing her shoes and outfits and label everything. Generally I'm better about doing this sooner but time got away from me this year! So we worked on it tonight while pizza making/cooking was being done by Daddy. Course any girl that dressed up much do some dancing so Maddie took a break in the kitchen for a spin!

Candyman dance....Hey Candyman, Who can make a rainbow..etc. etc. We've been singing this for about the last 9 months or so every Saturday afternoon because when we pick her up they are practicing it!

Finally the rehearsal was done, the pizza was done and we could get to trying out our new to us game! We picked it up last Tuesday for $2 at the Homeschool Book Sale. Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego? It was fun and quick which was good. We certainly learned a few things too!

 

And now on to a busy weekend of weed pulling, dance rehearsal, installing air conditioning units and homeschool paperwork....woo hoo!
