This morning we dropped off Maddie's 4H projects for the Altamont Fair. We are very proud of her as all of her projects won a blue ribbon! Now we wait to see if something was chosen for the State Fair. Its her first year out of Cloverbuds and into the regular 4H categories. It took us an hour to drop everything off and have it judged. Maddie has to stand by to answer the judge's questions and explain her project. Depending on the judge it can be a quick few minutes or a very long time. Each category has its own judging table and judge. It was a lot of fun and a great experience for Maddie.
Waiting to start!
Achievement book (a scrapbook of all the fun 4H stuff we do!)
Mushroom photo taken by Maddie and put on foam board with Mamaw Mary's help
Nature Journal--I thought for a minute this judge was going to be cranky but she got animated when they got going!
Bluebird box
Last table-handmade knitting needles-Maddie explained that we dyed the yarn too and the judge wanted to know if we kept sheep.
