Maddie has had several potholder looms given to her over the last 2 years. Tonight something clicked and she finished one! She was so excited and I am so glad she found enjoyment in it. I made lots of these as a kid...generally at Momm's request! I told Maddie that Mamaw Mary would now be giving her orders for potholders.
Our week has gone very well! We are enjoying the Saturday to Wednesday schedule for the moment. Perhaps that will change when spring finally (will it ever??) arrives and the weather is calling us outside. We did a lot of schoolwork on the front porch in the fall so perhaps we will just head back out there again in the spring. We have had a lot of fun playing dino dice this week. It has been great math fact practice without seeming to be math fact practice! Not only that but Brian and I had fun too. Those darn T-Rexes keep showing up and eating our herds though. Our weekend plans include building a volcano after reading about Crete and attending a storytelling night at church with Maddie's friend Mackenzie.
