Grass is growing on the banks of the Nile!

This afternoon we had to rescue our Nile model. I put it out on the porch in the warm sunshine yesterday afternoon then totally forgot it! Today while getting the little guys down for nap we heard a scrabbling noise on the front porch. Maddie went to peek out the door and investigate and immediately started banging on the door and yelling "Get away from my Nile!! SHOO!!". A squirrel was either after the seeds or decided it might be a good place to hide a nut. Either way it was Momma to the rescue! Tonight we noticed little green shoots coming up so soon we hope to have some nice looking grass. Maddie noted that more was growing "in the delta". Now we will be sure to keep the Nile inside the house and away from the bad squirrels!!
