Well, as you can see our project was a success in making the grass grow despite our difficulties getting the river to "flood". Maddie loved seeing it grow and is wearing her Pharaoh's crown in the pictures. The burning question of the week was "Do ducks have noses?". We called Poppa Bill to confirm that yes, ducks do have nose holes in their beaks and he sent Maddie some great pictures he took of ducks to illustrate the point. We also started our art and music appreciation this week and actually did the projects with the day care kids. The composer of the month is Vivaldi and we listened to the Four Seasons this week. We are working our way through The Oxford First Book of Art. The book is divided into themes with examples and an activity at the end. We enjoyed this first one and I think the rest to come will be just as much fun. We have a busy week ahead!!
