Doesn't that look nice? Not so much the piles on the floor though!
Most of this are books we have finished and papers Maddie has completed. After this year I am going to make a list of the books we won't need any longer and sell them. A lot are for kids in grades 1-4. The big pile toward the back right of the picture is all of Maddie's work for third grade--completed math worksheets, the half finished spelling book before we ditched it for the new program, 1 lapbook, 2 Evan-Moore History Pockets and her english papers. Once I got all that put away in the attic (or maybe on the stairs leading to the attic since we are in the middle of more than 1 major clean up!) I got out the new books for this year. So now we look very neat and organized with extra space that will disappear by the end of the first week!
Here is our curriculum list for the year:
Story of the World Vol.4 Modern Times (Queen Victoria to Ronald Regan basically!)
we are creating our own unit on New York State
Family Time Fitness this one includes Momma and Daddy!
While I finished this Maddie and Brian were outside starting dinner. Maddie loves to supervise!
So we are going to enjoy our last week of "freedom" but are looking forward to digging into our new books too!
