On Sunday we celebrated Brian's 45th birthday with our parents and had so much fun! I was very pleased with the peanut butter cheesecake that I made. It was so outrageous but sooooo good!
Here is Brian. Obviously we were having a rare serious discussion here!
Maddie was in charge of handing out the presents!
Today we waited and waited for the rain to stop and finally it did just in time for us to make it to the library. One of Maddie's favorite presenters was there, George Steele, a scientist/naturalist. He was there to talk about owls and help the kids dissect owl pellets. Maddie was so thrilled. She and her partner found 3 mice skeletons in their pellet. She was able to bring one home along with some of fur and feathers to inspect under her microscope. Its going to be a great addition to her owl box at the fair!
Maddie and her partner working hard! Its a delicate job.
Some of the findings...
The program didn't disappoint! We are gearing up to start school soon...more on that later!
