Tonight we did our experiment for the science fair. We aren't doing anything complicated because I want Maddie to get the idea of scientific method over doing a complicated experiment. So we started with the question: Will taco sauce clean a penny? Then we broke the taco sauce ingredients out and tried them individually. After that we combined them together to see what would work best. Its funny because the taco sauce didn't do the job as advertised then we came up with a different conclusion than we were supposed to! So, who cares, we are going with it. We will print out the pictures we took and make up a trifold board then play around with the ingredients etc on Friday. If you are near the Empire State Plaza look us up!!

Tonight before we started the experiment Brian was going through the president flash cards with Maddie. We decided to add another 5 for her to memorize but that means looking at all the cards of course!
Here is how part of the conversation went:
Maddie: Who's this?
Bri: Nixon, did some good things, some bad things, mostly we remember the bad
Maddie: Hmmm....I think he cared mostly about his hair.
Bri: What? Um....I don't think so....
Updates to come on the science fair! We are also trying to plan the summer and next year's curriculum. Lots of work ahead!
