The Gym Show!!!

Maddie had a crazy two weeks. She had a cold then a stomach virus then woke up Friday morning looking like she sat out in the sun too long. A trip to the doctor to determine those were hives! Poor kid. Fortunately she woke up Saturday morning feeling much better and looking better. This morning she woke up and they were all gone and she was back to her old self. Lots of water, benydryl and, according to Maddie, Popsicles worked their magic.

Saturday morning our first project was to decorate our auction cake for the spaghetti dinner. It was a pirate treasure map this year. Lots of fun and little frustration...just what we like!


Brian helped in the kitchen at the dinner and Maddie helped serve. I forgot my camera! Duh!!

This morning Maddie was off bright and early for the Gym Show which didn't start until 2. They sent Maddie and some of the kids from her class out to the bleachers to watch until their turn which was not until the end of the show, next to last. She was so excited to spy us and Samantha was with me as I promised she would be!



Then after waiting and waiting and waiting some more it was finally her turn! Maddie did really well considering she has skipped up to beginner since we can't make the primary classes. We were really proud of her!

Of course you will notice that we were once again on the wrong side of the gym. We decided to just sit on the other side next year no matter what!

So it was a busy, activity and fun filled weekend!! Next up is the science fair and hopefully no more illness for Maddie Grace.
