Presentation Day!!

Today was 4H Presentation Day. The Mohawk Monarchs did the 4H Pledge together and the girls each did their own poem. Maddie and Mackenzie did a presentation on setting a table for a dolly tea party. I was really proud of all the kids! The did a great job. Maddie did very well with her poem. We have practiced and practiced The Caterpillar. When the time came she forgot 2 words...the author's last name and the beginning to the second part of the poem. Instead of saying "ummm" or "hmmmm" she just stood quietly for a minute and let the word come. I thought "Wow! I can't even manage that!!" and I also didn't prompt her to do that, she just did it naturally. Maddie has become very comfortable in front of a crowd. She used to get all itchy from nerves but has overcome that almost totally. Everyone got a ribbon saying they participated and had a great time!
