Santa brought Maddie this cool kit in her stocking. It had made its way back to the top of Christmas presents and needed immediate work! This was at naptime so the famous archaeologist had to wait for her Dad to come home at dinner and save the day! It took quite a bit of scraping and scratching and dusting off but in the end we had an Egyptian Queen plus ruins. Maddie was upset that we couldn't keep the ruins but I couldn't believe the amount of dust created by the project. We took pictures so we would have it forever. I love the look of total concentration on Maddie's face. And yes, that red tipped nose is, unfortunately, due to a head cold. It doesn't seem to be holding her down much though! She had been very good about her schoolwork this week, staying on task and focused and getting it done. This surprised me a bit, I thought our first week back after 2 weeks off would be difficult!
