We were finally able to construct and decorate our gingerbread house today! We were humming along when we caught a cold and were just not up to the task on the days we had set aside. Fortunately today we had almost a full day at home (Maddie slept in until 9:15 making church impossible for us but she needed the rest badly!) so we were able to take our time and work along until we were done. Brian was home to help us out and work along with us which was an added benefit!
First we set it up.
Once it dried we started decorating. This took about an 45 minutes and things got more elaborate as we went along. We finally got to a point where we decided to quit while we were ahead!
Maddie named it "Cardinal Cabin" which was her cabin name during her week at Camp Fowler.
We were really pleased with the project and will be trying it again next year I think!
