Pillowcase Party!!

You might remember Maddie and I making pillowcases next to fire trucks back in September. We had so much fun we brought it back to our 4H group and they agreed to help make some too. Linda, the coordinator for our area, came and talked to the kids about why we make the pillowcases and how to make the pillowcases.

Linda also gave us some kits to use that were donated to ConKerr so we were ready to go! On Saturday we all got together and the kids made 8 pillowcases. One for each child who was there. These pillowcases are a lot of fun to make. The name of the pattern is the hot dog method. Isn't that fun? No wonder it appealed to the kids.

A little sewing lesson from Miss.Jenn. I felt badly that the kids who were not yet in 3rd grade couldn't sew but they could observe and will be ready next year!
Maddie pinning her hot dog together!
Yay!! We did it!
Once I deliver the cases back to Mrs.A they will be distributed to kids at Albany Medical Center, the Ronald McDonald House and the Stratton VA Hospital. We had a lot of fun for a great cause that will hopefully put a smile on another child's face.
