Getting Ready

Brian and I have spent the last month or so gearing up and getting ready for third grade. Its so hard to believe we are entering our fourth year of homeschooling and that third grade has arrived already! We are continuing with the things that have worked....Spelling Workout, Writing With Ease, First Language Lessons, Prima Latina and Story of the World. This year we are adding two new programs that we are really excited about...Elemental Science, Chemistry for the Grammar Stage and Trail Guide to US Geography. Hopefully both of these new things will help add some structure to those subjects.

I spent the weekend getting this organzied. I had to take pictures...the box and the "homeschool cabinet" will never look this neat until next August!




So our first week of plans are written.....

our supplies are purchased and I have special plans in place for saturday morning, our first day of school. I realized that I would make a big deal of the first day of school if Maddie was leaving me to go to the public school and that I wanted to do the same thing for homeschool. More on Saturday!!!
