On Thursday we visited the Springfield Museums We had a great time and plan on going back again...and probably again! There are 4 museums set up in a square with the Dr.Seuess Sculpture Garden in the middle. Maddie enjoyed the Science Museum the most. They have an animal hall, dinosaur hall, Rocks and the earth and astronomy plus a traveling exhibit called Grossology. Grossology was pretty darn gross but Maddie enjoyed herself! The exhibit shows you basically how your body works...burping, farting, runny nose, skin issues, nothing was left out. Her very favorite one was a man that would burp when you pumped enough water into his system. We also really enjoyed the astronomy exihibts and the Africian Animals. Downstairs they had live animals which were really neat as well. We were lucky enough to see a snake who was shedding his skin, Maddie was thrilled with that. We also played a bit in the sculpture garden then checked out the art museum and the historical society. There is also a fine art museum but we were not in the mood for that so saved it for another day. All in all it was a great day!!
