On Wedenesday we went to the Saratoga Battlefield . Maddie was able to participate in the Junior Ranger program and had a great time looking for the things in her scavenger hunt. She was knew a little about the battlefield already since we had just been to Fort Ticonderoga and did a great job of being able to distinguish between the British and the Americans. We also saw some wildlife, lots of insects and crickets and a frog! If you haven't been to the Battlefield there are buttons to push at each stop along the tour road. I remember this being a big deal to me when I was a kid...I wanted to push the button every time! Maddie was no different once she realized the buttons were there! Once or twice we had to wait for the recording to finish from the last person so she could push the button again. We had a great time and will probably be going back later in the fall for a hike.
