Emily and Presentations

We did not have the best week! A chest cold or flu got ahold of the whole family and some of the day care kids. We plugged along any way and got through! Maddie was waiting all week for her new "My American Girl" doll to arrive. She named the new doll Emily before she arrived.....before she was ordered....before Bri and and I even realized there would be a new doll needing a name! She worked hard to earn her the money for Emily then Brian and I chipped in for a new outfit. She arrived on Wednesday but we knew there wouldn't be time to play with Emily until the weekend so I decided to hold her off until Friday night. Maddie had no idea! I set up a picnic for Maddie, Felicity, Samanatha and Emily.

As you can see Felicity and Samantha were quite eager to get their new sister out of the box!
Maddie was eager to get into EVERYTHING! :0)

We did finally get Maddie to eat dinner but Emily has not been far from her side since Friday.

Saturday we had 4H Presentation Day. Maddie did a great job with her own presentation. One of the funniest parts was convincing the master gardener helping out as a judge that this was Maddie's third presentation. Really! She asked Maddie, me, Brian and Sarah and I am still not sure she was convinced. We are so proud of Maddie, she did great!

Here she is!

Then the "little guys" in our group did the pledge with some help from 2 of the older girls.

After that our older group tried to show how to make superballs. Unfortunately the mixture didn't work this time around! They plugged along any way, trying their best to work through it.

I was really proud of all the kids. They did a great job!
