Busy Saturday
This morning Maddie went off to dance class. When I picked her up we stopped at the library. Maddie was the lucky winner of a raffle drawing for a stack of books from the summer reading program. She was so excited to win and I know we will enjoy the books.
As you can see the library did it up big with ribbons and a label with Maddie's name on it.
These were all good books!! Some are activity books and others are for reading.
This was by far the favorite one though!
Not only is it a pop up book but it is about science....what more could my little science girl ask for?
Then we did schoolwork and actually completed every single workbox I had prepared. Maddie did them cheerfully and well which made me very happy and cheerful! After that was done Maddie put on her jammies and got ready for her PJ craft party. We had invited 5 girls, 4 could make it and we had a blast! Everyone brought their favorite dolly buddy and a sleeping bag.
Maddie and I set the table and got the coffee table ready for crafting.
Kenzie was the first to arrive. Kenzie and Maddie have the same birthday but Kenzie is 1 year older than Maddie. They had fun coloring and waiting for everyone else to arrive.
Jaedyn was next!
Then the girls had pizza while the dolls had their own tea!
After pizza we made button rings, doll hula-hoops, doll sized milkshakes
and "cootie catchers". All the projects were fun but the button rings were a bit frustrating. They all made one and we quickly moved on to something else!
Then it was cupcake time!!! Maddie's requested Momma homemade cupcakes with strawberry jam in the middle and chocolate frosting! We found really cute cupcake holders from American Girl that we loved and I had the fairies already.
We told Kenzie to help Maddie blow out the candle in honor of both their birthdays.
Once the cupcakes were eaten the girls curled up in sleeping bags and quilts for present opening and to watch Kit, An American Girl.
We had a great time and lots of fun!!!
