Father's Day

Maddie made a great Father's Day present for Brian. We had a lot of fun making the "superhero kit" but can't lay claim to the original idea. We found it here. We did not get quite as fancy as they did but it still came out really cute.

First we repackaged some of Brian's favorite things into zip lock bags then we attached labels to make them into "x-ray vision drops" or "superhero vitamins" or "secret identity bar" or "hero juice". In reality these were pistachios, jelly belly jelly beans, Reeses PB Cups, and Boylan's Creme soda.

Then we put it all into a cardboard shipping box and used the "To" label from the download that said "Our Real Live Superhero; 1 Masterbedroom Way; Fortress of Solitude". Maddie wanted to make her own "From" label though. Her "From" label said "Melvin Beederman Store; The Treehouse; Los Angeles, CA" and as you can see this took quite a bit of concentration!!

Brian and Maddie have been reading the Melvin Beederman series of books this spring so this was a great idea!
Brian loved his present on Father's Day Morning! This week we are all on vacation!! Yay!! A present for everyone.
