November things

Here is Maddie with the Viking Longship model we made. I think its the only Viking Ship that had a pink and purple sail. The creator liked it though and I wasn't looking for realism. Her answer when I pointed out the color issue...."Well, they might have Momma! How would we know?" and I don't really have any scientific evidence to hand to back me up! She had a lot of fun making it and putting it together.


I signed Maddie into Spelling City to practice her spelling words. I input her spelling words at the beginning of the week then she can play games and make up sentences with the words. It helps make the practice a lot more fun and heaven knows we need all the help we can get making spelling fun!! I left to go work on dinner and when I came to check on her discovered that Felicity was getting in on the act!


We have another busy week ahead of us. Maddie is going on a virtual field trip via our laptop at naptime on Tuesday to Plimouth Plantation. Brian found it through Scholastic. They will be doing a live presentation at 1:00. We are really excited about that! On Thursday Mamaw Louise will be picking Maddie up for Homeschool Science Lab at CMOST about space. On Saturday we will be helping to carry a banner for the Schenectady Holiday Parade as part of 4H! Busy, busy and very excited to get started!!
