Maddie is 7!!!!!

Today was Maddie's birthday and we had a ton of fun. She wanted to go apple picking, play at the playground and make a trip to the bookstore to spend some birthday money.

We tried to go apple picking but on the way there was a thunderstorm. After some Daddy and Momma discussion we decided to "pick" apples in the barn! We were pretty sure, with our luck, we would be out in the middle of the orchard when another round of thunder would start. Somehow it didn't seem like a great idea!!


Fortunately it stopped raining so we could at least go into the small pumpkin maze by the barn.

As usually happens we got into the car and the sun came out! So we headed to Indian Meadows in Burnt Hills for some playground fun. Boy did we have fun!!!







We found a caterpillar and Maddie was able to get a photo of it on a yellow leaf with some help from Daddy.

At the bookstore Maddie picked out an American Girl dog for her dollies(and herself!) that she has been wanting for a while. As you can see all were happy with the purchase!


All in all a very fun day! I still can't quite believe she is 7 though. It feels like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital...time flies when you are having fun!
