Wow! Its been a while since I posted. We were busy getting ready for Christmas. Unfortunately both Maddie and Brian were sick at the beginning of the month then I started to feel yucky and all that put us behind. However we seem to have gotten the illness out of the way so we could enjoy Christmas! Maddie had a wonderful time picking out the tree, "decorating" it in her own Fancy Nancy style then we got the ornaments out and went to it.
Maddie has also done a lot of sledding in the backyard and Brian took her to the park yesterday. Just like last year she had a contingent of amazed 9 and 10 year old boys following her about. She is fearless about going down the steep hill with the jump at the bottom and the double hill with the jump in the middle. They find it hard to believe that a GIRL and a little one at that is happily going down and flying off the sled.
Christmas was a fun day. Maddie was in her PJs all day with a short try on session of a new outfit. She loved the goggles in a crystal growing kit from Uncle Evan and Auntie Jan. It was too good a picture to pass up! I also had a chuckle. At the end of the day, with an entire stack of new books about everything from eagles to fairies to Black Beauty, Maddie asked Poppa Bill to read her a story from her History Book, The Story of the World. Apparently we have done well picking curriculum!
We hope you all have had a good Christmas as well and are looking forward to the New Year!!
