She chose colors that remind me of her. Yellow, green and blue for my outdoorsy girl.
Apparently she loves her yarn!
Then we wound it into a ball. Maddie did most of it. There were a few times when things got tangled and she called for me but its 98% Maddie wrapped.
So in keeping with the yarn along theme here is Maddie's project bag, new needles and yarn. She has been reading Fairies and the Quest for Neverland which is the third book in a series. Maddie has really enjoyed them and flew through all the books. Thank heavens for the library! She is also listening to the first book in The 39 Clues series of books. I've been listening right along with her. Its really interesting and reminds me quite a bit of the National Treasure movie. Tonight she was listening while winding yarn. We've already requested the second book in audio format from the library!
An up close shot of Maddie's needles and yarn! Maddie has plans for a hat. Fingers crossed!!!
I would still like to know who said she could grow up so quickly!
yeah! a new knitter. love to see how that hat turns out. that is some rockin' yarn.

ReplyDeleteMaddie loved taking part this week!
DeleteAre those owls on the needles? Owls are one of my favorite things. The yarn is nice.
ReplyDeleteYes those are owls on the needles. Owls are one of Maddie's favorite birds. We made the needles and used buttons for the ends.
DeleteWe've been on the lookout for owls locally and Maddie has seen at lest one. We have had fun watching a pair of bald eagles that are building a nest right here in our hometown! Very exciting.
