So...what we knew that Mamaws didn't and the Fair!

In case you were burning with curiosity here is what we knew that the Mamaws didn't know. We made tin candle holders at the Sturbridge Craft Center when we were there last monday for mother's day presents. The best way to get Maddie not to tell the secret is to let her hold it over your head a bit! She did a great job of keeping my mother's day present to herself too but I had lots of "Hey Momma! I know something you don't know" all week long! My present was a mug she painted with Brian at a pottery studio. Lots of fun!

The Altamont Fair is a BIG deal in the life of 4H kids and parents. The State Fair is pretty big too but we won't be dealing with that quite yet....I don't think! Maddie decided to plant and grow a pizza garden for her fair project. She is growing parsley, oregano and basil from seeds. Here are some pictures of her with them last weekend. This weekend we have sprouts but the weather is not cooperating for pictures outside!! We are looking forward to the experience at the fair. Not only is Maddie entering her project but we plan on helping at the 4H Strawberry Shortcake booth. That should be an interesting experience with 4 6-7 year olds!
