Yesterday I wondered if Einstein's mom had dirty socks hanging in the dining room window and caterpillars in a cup on the kitchen counter. I certainly hope so because that is what is going on at our house! Maddie has seed experiments in the window. The first one is popcorn kernals we planted last week. They have sprouted right up and we can see the roots as well because it is in a plastic zip lock bag. Then we tromped around the park with a pair of Daddy's socks on our feet to see if we could pick up any seeds. I am not sure this will be successful. We are giving it a couple of days then into the trash they go! On Monday the caterpillars arrived from a kit Maddie was given by Aunt Nicole, Uncle Josh and Declan. That is the most exciting of all. She is thrilled and has made several drawings of the caterpillars as well as naming all 5. Hopefully she understands that we will need to let them go eventually!! Since we have all these other things going we have given up on the Water Science online class. There are only so many experiments we have room for around here!! I also noticed that we had trouble keeping on someone else's timetable. We can always try again later!
